DESIGNER
Role Definition

Addressing all customer walk in queries
Working to client brief, which details what the space will be used for, and finding out the client's personal ideas and requirements and suggesting best furniture and other dcor placements
Inspecting and surveying buildings / hotel / restaurant / residential locations
Setting schedules for the project
Carrying out research, to make sure that plans are technically feasible
Producing rough sketches and a mood board - a collection of suitable images, colors and materials
Developing detailed designs, often using computer-aided design (CAD) software
Choosing the most appropriate materials for the design and budget
Advising clients on progress, and providing them with samples of wood, paints and fabrics to be used
Co-coordinating with the sourcing & supply chain team on the updates and ensuring the work is in progress and within the timelines
Sharing updates with customers on delivery status

Profile Requirements (Qualification & Experience)
Graduate with specialization in interior designing from a premier institute
4-5 years' work experience with an architect / interior designing firm
Preferred experience with Architect / Interior Designing Firm

Profile Requirements (Skills & Competencies)
Excellent communication, presentation & negotiation skills
Very strong Client Service & Excellent relationship building skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical orientation with the ability to innovate and analyze alternative solutions - specific to the target at hand.
Detail focused, executes with excellence and owns the outcome.
Should be able to design interiors of home, office, restaurants and hotels individually and can also customize furniture designs as per customer requirements
Creativity and imagination
An eye for design, including colour, and good 3D awareness
Good drawing and IT skills (CAD / CAM), MS office
The ability to visualize concepts and explain them to others
Good Organizational skills, to ensure each project is completed on time and within budget
Awareness of technical issues, and the range of relevant products and materials
Self-discipline.

JOB CRITERIA:

*Responsible for purchase of material, AutoCAD drawings.
*Site execution & work planning.

*Responsible for preparing designs.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Working closely with a team of other professionals such as building service engineers, construction managers, quantity surveyors and architectural technologists
*Choosing the materials to be used and specifying the requirements for the project
*Adapting plans according to circumstances and resolving any problems that may arise during construction
*Making sure the project is running according to schedule and budget
*Playing a part in project and team management
*Travelling regularly to building sites, proposed locations and client meetings.
